I really love this store! Walking in and looking around, I couldn’t help but be inspired by the selection of books. The personal touches like the handwritten cards talking about a book and pairing it with a beverage, and the owner being highly engaging are just a few things that make this place feel alive. I will definitely visit next time I’m in town.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Absolutely Marvelous and Zealous Independent Nook Gala!!! I did my best haha but yeah, I was in Norfolk for three weeks and as per tradition, whenever I go to a new place, I find a bookstore. And I went to this place twice. I bought 4 books and a super cute and soft T-Shirt. They have book and wine pairings, blind date with a book, used books, new releases, and all specializing in feminist/abolitionist themes. I felt like I was home. Cannot recommend enough. The merch is great, and right next to a great coffee shop. 10/10.

My favorite place in Norfolk, owned by a terrific gem of a human! In the past few months they have made steps towards becoming a workers cooperative, one of the few businesses with this model in the area. Buy books, wines and gifts here rather than on Amazon

I popped by this business yesterday to say hello to a fellow local business. I met Erin and she blew me away. She is kind, patient, honest, funny, and super knowledgeable. I bought a gently used book on archetypes that became an amazing synchronicity with one of my friends. I also bought a Tarot card deck that I had never seen before and it is amazing! The owners really have an eye for beauty and for truth. I highly recommend popping by this business!

Amazing bookstore that specializes in books by authors who are not CIS white men. This is a great place to get books that tell stories of those who are a lot of times overlooked in society. They also do a lot of fun and informative events. Highly recommend!!

Went here for the first time this weekend and loved it. The person working was incredibly helpful and there was a great selection of books I was looking for. There were some kids toys, a little reading nook my daughters enjoyed, and they both found really good books for themselves. It was so wonderful to be in a business that puts community care forward, more places should be like this. We will definitely be back, with friends and family. Also, to whoever manages their instagram feed. The video about how to get to Eleanor's and the accessibility is awesome. It really helped us! I wish more places did that.
